BWS File Manager provides overview of your website pages and is the starting point to all your actions within BWS Professional. It lists and manages the files, folders and the installed Web Studio modules within your website. Here you can upload and manage multiple files (also in-house documentation), set their security and access restrictions (done also with the User Manager), enter for editing .htm, .html, .asp, .aspx files, using the BWS RTF Editor and .css, .txt and .xml files using special editors.
BWS User Manager is used for the management of the users (content-editors) of your website. Here you can create new BWS users and set user access restrictions for files, folders and the installed BWS modules. There are three types of users: Normal Users, Administrators and Super Administrators. BWS User Manager provides user history and overview on the performed actions.
BWS Configuration is used by site Administrators for fine-tuning the parameters of your website’s functionalities (most parameters are set by default). Here you can set the starting page of your website, the image and template storage folder and sub folders, the e-mail “from” address for sending Newsletters and the e-mail “to” for feedback forms, etc. BWS Configuration is also used for hiding certain files, file extensions and folders.
BWS RTF Editor is a powerful WYSIWYG Rich Text Format editing module for editing your website pages. It offers nearly unlimited editing possibilities and contains extra functionalities. BWS RTF Editor is quite similar to regular desktop programs like Microsoft Word® offering similar shortcut icons, which are therefore familiar and easy to work with. The editor allows inserting of images via an easy drag and drop used also for inserting banners, banner groups (BWS Banner Manager Module), Web Polls and other objects into the page. It also includes functionalities like creating response/feedback forms, inserting site search function, member registration, page protect script (for members – “logged in” users only), setting of special properties for catalog and shop pages, etc. Some icons like “full source editing” are restricted (not displayed) for security reasons and can be used by site Administrators only. The RTF Editor also offers extended functionalities varying from setting the name (title) and key words of your website pages (for the search engines) to image and link properties.

BWS CSS Editor is used for editing the cascading style sheets (CSS) of your website and website pages. CSS is a high-level standard, allowing you to produce pages and parts of pages, setting their font size, typeface, colors and other settings. With the CSS editor you can apply new styles and edit the existing ones. It gives you greater control over the way the web pages are displayed as well as faster client download (you don’t need a whole collection of tags within your web page). BWS CSS Editor is an integral part of the BWS 5.0 Professional RTF Editor and is optional to use.
BWS TXT Editor is a simple text editor (for full source editing mode) found in both, BWS File Manager and BWS RTF Editor. It is also used for editing text files in use by other programs, e.g. flash presentations, flash menu items, xml files and others. BWS TXT Editor is an integral part of the BWS 5.0 Professional RTF Editor and is optional to use.
BWS i-Mode enables you to make separate areas of your website pages available for viewing and editing through i-mode terminals (mobile phones and other devices). BWS i-Mode is especially useful for instant information or news items update, published right away, anytime, anywhere. BWS i-Mode areas can be assigned to .htm, .html, .asp and .aspx web pages. With BWS i-Mode the visitors of your website do not have to type in a separate URL in order to view the i-mode content. BWS i-Mode is an integral part of the BWS 5.0 Professional RTF Editor and is optional to use.
BWS Approval is used by site administrators to approve any changes realized by other users while editing. Using the four eye approval method, BWS Approval System substantially reduces the reverting of the incorrectly edited pages and gives greater control over the management of the site. BWS Approval System is integrated within BWS 5.0 Professional and is optional to use.

BWS Forms module is used for creating feedback, response and other kind of simple and complex forms within your website. There is a possibility for storing the forms within the BWS Forms module or having the submitted forms sent to an e-mail address of your choice.
BWS Link Validator checks for broken links within your website or links that lead to other website pages and images. Broken links are marked within the BWS RTF Editor Broken Link Report. You can review, edit and restore the broken links directly from the report.
BWS Newsletters is a complete solution for the creation and management of newsletters. It provides “Publish on the Website” option and offers the possibility for subscription to various Newsletter types - general (sent to the entire mailing list) and targeted (sent to different target/subscriber groups). The Newsletters are created with the BWS RTF Editor, thus providing the full advantages of the editor (e.g. the incorporation of a Web Poll, Banners, etc. within a newsletter).
BWS Forum is a complete solution for the creation of multiple Forums arranged in categories. It has customizable front-end appearance and one-click set up. The Forum gives you the possibility to create real interaction with your visitors.

BWS Guestbook is used by the visitors of your website for providing comments about the website itself, the services/products, etc. It is inserted within any web page with one click only (using the toolbox within the BWS RTF Editor). It allows hide, show and delete functions to the made entries.
BWS Web Poll gives direct feedback from your visitors. It is easily created and inserted using the BWS RTF Editor. It has a customizable front-end appearance, deleting and closing functionalities. Closing the Web Poll discontinues the submission of votes, thus displaying the results of the particular poll. There is a possibility for creating a special page with past polls.
BWS Chat is an extended web based chat program offering multiple possibilities. You can create chat rooms, allowed or not for anonymous users, select chat members to become chat administrators on front-end level, thus providing them with different rights (e.g. the ability to remove abusers from the chat). Front-end users have the possibility to select chat interface color, enable sound alerts, chat in rooms of their choice, send private messages to others in the same room, invite others for private room chat, use emoticons and more.

BWS Banner Manager is an easy to use web banner system. With BWS Banner Manager you have the opportunity to give more life and interactivity to your website or portal and earn additional money by selling clicks. The Banner Manager handles various types of banners from images and plain text to flash animations. Banners and banner groups (for banner rotation) can be easily placed on any website or portal and set for a certain period of time, number of maximum clicks or appearances. It shows comprehensive statistics. Banners and banner groups are easily inserted within the web page using the BWS Professional RTF Editor toolbar.
BWS Banner Manager Functionalities:
Setting the height and width of the banner or banner group (banner rotation option) Setting the number of times for displaying the banner or banner group Setting the number of clicks for displaying the banner or banner group Setting the number of impressions for displaying the banner or banner group “Click through URL” option (the Internet address the user goes to when the banner is clicked) Temporarily suspend banners or banner groups (not displayed on the site)
The Reporting mechanism allows you to view:
The number of times the banner was displayed (impressions) per day/month The number of users who selected the banner and visited the advertisers website per day/month (clicks through) Show comprehensive statistics of all banners and banner groups or per banner or banner group
BWS Statistics displays the number of visitors, page hits, total hits, fails and downloaded kilobytes. It also provides information on the hour zone, country of origin, IP addresses, search engines and other visitor's information.
